Ruth will seek to work collaboratively with industrial
chaplains at local and national level and participate in training and other
forums concerning the world of work.
She will look to -
Discover opportunities for new development.
Build on work that is already taking place in Wolverhampton.
Work
with Local Government economic development managers, the Chambers of Commerce,
Wolverhampton Trades Council, trade unions, councils of voluntary
organisations, employment agencies.
Contact local and District Churches.
Identify and encourage church members in the workplace.
Encourage Ministers & lay people to become workplace chaplains.
Negotiate with lead officers in business, civic institutions and the voluntary sector to establish
chaplaincies.
Offer regular time-tabled visits or drop-in visits as required .
