Kevin Gripton

 Kevin's  principal aim is to support the Lay Workers across the District. It is important that individual pastoral support is given and that workers can be networked with others undertaking similar activities. Also important is liaison with other District Officers, through established District Committees, and with the Connexion on matters of Lay Workers' interest.

Kevin's aims are to:

· Get to know who the Lay Workers are & where they work.

· Meet new Lay Workers and make them be aware of the support available to them from the District.

Following on from this:

· Meetings for fellowship & liaison are being convened.

· Training, in conjunction with District Lay Workers' Training Secretary, is organised.

· Contact can be kept, with retired Lay Workers and those between posts as Lay Workers.

· There is a link between Lay Workers themselves and others in the District as appropriate.

· It has been recognised that it is important to harness the resources of the group for maximising mutual help and improving efficiency.
